What is a Phoenix?
A phoenix is a legendary bird based in Egyptian mythology that burns itself at the end of its life, followed by a new phoenix rising from the ashes. The phoenix, also extremely long-lived and able to heal itself spontaneously, is a symbol of immortality, resurrection, and regeneration. In ancient times, it was incorporated into the mythologies of many cultures, and in the medieval period, it became a symbol of Christ.
Why 1331?
People state that 13 is an unlucky number but the reason why I use it is because it's not only the date of my eldest sons birthday (13th) but it's also the total amount of mine and my fiancée birthdays added together. The 31st is the date of my youngest sons birthday and it's also the number on my car numberplate (I only just realised that).
1331 in roman numerals is MCCCXXXI, which in a freaky coincidence happens to be my dogs name. (Yea right!!)
Why Graffic Design?
I enjoy playing about with different designs to see what I can come up with.
I would never claim to being professional as this is my main hobby.
I would consider myself to be very fussy about my work and often spend hours on a piece only to delete it and start again.
My fiancée Elizabeth is my biggest support and she always comments truthfully on anything I'm doing.
I'm a soft touch when it comes to anything Newport County, as you can see by my work.
I have recently set up a group on facebook and when I have time I will update it and put some bits and pieces on there.
Until then please feel free to join up.
